Layout

Manage the site-wide header and footer.

The header and footer show on every page. Use Website > Layout in the sidebar to edit them.

Edit the header

The header holds the navigation links that show on every page.

  1. Open Website > Layout > Header.
  2. Reorder the navigation links to set their display order.
  3. Edit each Label box. Use the Locale switch for Spanish text.
  4. Choose Internal link to point at a page, post, or section. Then choose the target.
  5. Choose Custom URL to point at an outside website. Then enter the address.
  6. Add a block anchor when the destination page has one.
  7. Choose Open in new tab when the link should open in a new browser tab.
  8. Open Live Preview before Publish changes.
  9. Choose Publish changes.

The Header editor in the sidebar with the first navigation item expanded for an internal link.

The footer shows at the bottom of every page. It holds the tagline, navigation, grouped navigation, a callout, social links, and legal text.

  1. Open Website > Layout > Footer.
  2. Edit each section. Use the Locale switch for Spanish text.
  3. Open Live Preview before Publish changes.
  4. Choose Publish changes.

Good to know

A draft does not change the public header or footer. When you delete a page, the link that pointed at it also disappears. If you change the web address of a page you link to, a custom URL does not follow the change.
