Clover or the dashboard

Know which changes you make in Clover and which you make in the dashboard.

Check this page before you change the menu or a store. Clover holds the prices, the stock, and the store hours. The dashboard holds the website names, descriptions, photos, and Spanish text.

See how long a Clover change takes

Clover sends changes to items, stock, categories, modifiers, modifier groups, and store hours right after you save them. These changes usually reach the website within 1 minute.

Every 15 minutes, the dashboard also syncs every store with Clover. Item group changes arrive only with this sync.

To get a change now, sync the store. Sync with Clover shows how.

Good to know

  • If you rename an item in Clover, the website keeps the old name. Change the website name in Menu > Items.
  • A new Clover item gets its own empty website entry, unless its name or SKU matches an entry that exists. Use the same name at every store. "Latte 12oz" and "Latte 12 oz" do not match.
  • Items with an age limit in Clover never sell on the website, because no one can check ID at pickup.
